Eating Out

All of Shetland's produce features on the menus of local restaurants.  In Lerwick, it is not too difficult to track down Chinese, Indian, Thai or indeed Norwegian cooking.  Throughout the islands, hotels, restaurants and bars, offer good food, with modern British, European and Asian influences brought to bear on the superb raw materials that Shetland offers the creative cook.

On the other hand, if you simply hanker for a takeaway, our fish and chip shops pride themselves on having the freshest fish you'll find anywhere.

The Central Visitor Centre in Lerwick will be happy to advise on eating establisments choices.

West Mainland

North Mainland
