Inspiring Shetland
Inspiration from the environment, coupled with generations of skill fuel the creative craft producers of our islands.
A wide range of crafts is available, including fiddles and woodwork, ceramics, jewellery and confectionary.
Stockists and factory shops can be found throughout the islands. Alternatively, the Shetland Crafts Association can assist with supplier information and contact details.
The main shopping areas, in the capital of Lerwick, provide a relaxing and pleasant shopping excursion. A wide range of boutiques and gift shops provide hours of browsing opportunity amongst a collection of high quality, exclusive gifts and crafts. The two main areas for shopping in Lerwick are Commercial Street, the pretty Old Town main street, winding it's way along the waterfront of the town centre, and the Tollclock Shopping Centre area, fifteen minutes walk from the centre of town.
